Twitch Disables Donald Trump's Account Following Attack on Capitol
Following Midweek's assault on the US Capitol by pro-Trump insurrectionists, Twitch has disabled the account of President Donald Trump.
In a statement to Polygon, a Twitch spokesperson said "In light of yesterday's shocking attack on the Capitol, we accept disabled President Trump's Twitch channel. Given the electric current extraordinary circumstances and the President's incendiary rhetoric, we believe this is a necessary stride to protect our community and prevent Twitch from beingness used to incite further violence."

Twitch isn't the but online service to issue a temporary ban to the President. Before today, Facebook, which has been one of Trump's main platforms for reaching his supporters, blocked the president's accounts "indefinitely."

Midweek's attack on the Capitol as well led to the ouster of one of Twitch's iconic emotes, PogChamp.
